చందమామ వెబ్ సైట్లో , పాత సంచికలను PDF formatలో ఉచితంగా అందచేయుచున్నారు (http://www.chandamama.com/content/story_archive_pdf/archive.php. కానీ download చేసుకోవాలంటే కాస్త శ్రమ పడాల్సిందే. అన్ని సంచికలకి ఒకటే లింకు ఇవ్వలేదు. నేను కాస్త సమయం వెచ్చించి, తెలుగు చందమామ పాత సంచికల కోసం ,ఈ క్రింది పట్టిక తయారు చేశాను. దీనిని ఉపయోగిస్తే download చేసుకొనేవారికి కాస్త సులువు అవుతుంది అని అనుకుంటాను.

కానీ సైజే…సూపర్ కాదు. ఒక్కొక్క సంచిక దాదాపు 50MB అంటే కష్టమే. దీన్ని సైజు తగ్గించే మార్గమేమన్నా ఉందా?

అసలు ఈ విధంగా ఉచితంగా అందచేయటం నిజంగా మనం చేసుకొన్న అదృష్టం. ఇక సైజ్ సంగతి అంటారా, మనం మన ప్రయత్నాలు కొన్సాగిద్దాం. ఏవో కొన్ని టూల్సు అవి కనపడుతున్నాయి, కానీ ఎఅంతవరకు ప్రయోజనం అనేది ఆలోచించాలి. (నల్లమోతు శ్రీధర గారిని అడిగితే పోతుంది). అట్లాగే ఆశక్తి కలిగిన computer science విద్యార్ధులకు ఇది ఒక మంచి project. ఇంకా ఎన్నో ఆలోచనలు నా మదిలో ఉన్నాయి, కానీ ఎంతవరకు సాధ్యమో చూద్దం (conerting the pdf files automatically to unicode – basically telugu character recognition.) వీటి మీద కొంత పరిశోధన ఇప్పటికే జరుగుచున్నది.

ఆగస్టు 1948 జులై 1950 .నేను మీ బ్లాగునుంచి కుడిచేత్తో నొక్కి(రైట్ క్లిక్)నేరుగా డౌన్ లోడ్ యాక్సిలేటర్ ప్లస్ కు తగిలించా.మొత్తం మీద ఫైలు సైజు 5.57 gb. ఆ మూడుసంచికలూ కలిస్తే ఎంతవుతుందో చూడాలి.అలాగే ఆ పరిమాణాన్ని తగ్గించే ఉపాయం ఇప్పటికన్నా కనుగొన్నారా లేదా?

ఏమో నండీ ఆ మూడు నాకు కూడా దిగుమతి చేసుకోవడానికి కుదరట్లేదు. size తగ్గించడానికి చేసిన ప్రయత్నాలేవీ ఫలించలేదు. మీరు మరో విషయం గమనించారా : చందమామ siteలో downloads ఇ ప్పుడు తేసేశారు 😦

Chandramouli Gouri Kumar Garu. You are really great, truly great and I do now know how to thank you enough. The work you done is simply superb. Right now in Chandamama website, the down load is not even loading.
The present owners of Chandamama do not know the value of the old issues which they so casually handling. If they copy all the old issues from 1947 to 1980 in PDF format and put them in a DVD or CD and bring them out with a reasonable price, they will be definitely surprised to see the demand for it. I hope they shall see this comment.
All Chandamama lovers can send a mail to them so that they will realise the value and bring out a DVD/CD version of all these PDF files which we can preserve.
So my appeal to all Old Chandamama issues lovers to tell Chandamama to bring out all the old issues in one DVD/CD with a reasonable price. I had already sent a mail to them.

Dear Chandramouli,
You can remove the links prepared by you as the same are not working. Many a Chandamamam fan comes here and finds the links not working and gets disappointed. The old chandamama issues are not available in Ulib.org also.
We shall not get old Chandamama issues anywhere now in the internet. The only place we can see and read is the Chandamama website. There is no download available and all the files are flash files.
